Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud (MOWLB) understands that vulnerable seniors are at the greatest risk amid Covid-19. We are focused on doing all we can to protect our clients, volunteers, and staff. We are closely monitoring information and resources being shared by experts in disease control and are putting prevention and response plans into place.

We will follow recommendations provided by the CDC, Larimer County Health Department, and Larimer County Office on Aging. As always, our goal is to help clients receive nutritious meals and remain healthy in their homes; thus, at this time, we will continue services with adjustments as needed. We will also be vigilant about maintaining a clean, healthy work environment for our entire MOWLB community--clients, volunteers, and staff.  With this in mind, we have drafted these plans to help us during these unpredictable times.

Please Adhere to the Following CDC Recommended Preventative Actions:

  • Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds - especially after using the restroom, blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

  • Wear a mask.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Volunteers and staff: If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms - fever above 100.4, sore throat, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headache, abdominal discomfort, new loss of taste or smell - please let the MOWLB staff know and STAY HOME. Contact your health provider immediately.

Our clients and the volunteers who serve them remain our utmost concern. It remains our hope that we find an end to this pandemic soon. This virus outbreak has changed how we all interact with each other, and has affected all aspects of our daily lives - from supply chains, to staffing, and to volunteer availability.

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud is grateful for our community’s patience and support as we learn to navigate through this uncharted territory together. Thank you for looking out for your neighbor!
