SET UP CREW - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (2 HR SHIFTS)

Help transform 4th Street between Railroad and Cleveland into a beautiful, inviting dining space. Set-up tables, chairs, and signage. Set tables with tablecloths, glassware, silverware, and decor. Assist with other set-up tasks as needed.

“Welcome Greeters”: 5:30 - 6:30 pm

“Thank You Greeters”: 9:00 - 9:30 pm

Greet guests as they arrive and help them find where to go. Inform them about registration, wine pull, and photobooth. Provide information about the work that Meals on Wheels does for the community. Thank guests for attending and for their generous support.

FOOD EXPEDITORS 4:30 - 9:30 PM

Direct food service for a multi-course meal. Expedite food to facilitate a seamless and elegant dinner service. Direct hosts and servers on which plates to take out and when. Prefer to have volunteers with restaurant expediting experience.

volunteer registration/break room 4:00 - 10:00 pm (2 hour shifts available)

Greet volunteers and answer any questions they have about their shift. Show them where snacks, water, etc. are located.

meal service team (hosts & servers) 4:30 - 9:30 PM — need approx 40 volunteers

Meal Service teams are made up of 1 host and 3-4 servers. They work as a team throughout the evening providing excellent service to ensure guest satisfaction. Friends, family, or coworkers who want to work together can request to be on a team together.

wine pull 5:30 - 10:00 pm (may finish sooner)

Assist guests at the wine pull. Answer questions on how the activity works. Help guests select a cork at the beginning of the event and retrieve their wine winnings.

ICE/WATER 5:30 - 9:30 PM (2 HOUR SHIFTS AVAILABLE)

Help keep everyone hydrated and cool! Walk around with bottles of water and offer to anyone who needs it.

 
Meals on 4th Volunteers with paddles for the paddle raise fundraiser.

floaters/pre-event prep/anything! 4:30 - 9:30 pm

An extra set of hands with tasks TBD during and prior to the event as needed. This might include tasks like passing out water, helping to clean off plates, or assisting with a variety of pre-event tasks such as putting together volunteer name tags or auction paddles.

dish clean-up 5:30-10:00 pm (2 hour shifts available)

Scrap off excess food and empty glassware so they can be returned to the rental company for cleaning.

 
 

clean up/breakdown 9:00-11:00 pm

Assist with any final clearing of plates and glassware from tables. Break down tables and chairs and take them to the loading location. Take down decor, lighting, and signage. Help with the general clean-up of 4th Street after the event. Assist with any other break-down tasks as needed.
