Better Together Because of You!
Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud Celebrates Dedicated Volunteers
This week has been full of sweets, treats, prize drawings, and fun – all in celebration of our dedicated crew of Meals on Wheels Volunteers!
Meals on Wheels staff constructed Volunteer Appreciation Schwag Bags for each volunteer that included treats of thanks, an invite to our September Volunteer B-B-Q, and passes for a free game of bowling generously donated by our community partner, Sweetheart Ten Pin Bowling.
Each day also included prize drawings for a variety of fun items. Volunteers were given a drawing ticket for each year of volunteering. You might be surprised to find that we had more than one volunteer with over 15 drawing tickets and chances of winning!
Our daily prize drawings were donated by the following and included multiple winners each day:
$10 Gas Gift Cards - 2 each day
Bottles of wine, donated by staff
Meals on Wheels branded glasses, gators, and jackets
Tickets to two Colorado Eagles hockey games generously donated by BES - Business Equipment
Movie passes to the Metrolux Dine-In Theater at the Foundry
Buy one-get-one coupons for Scripted Bar & Kitchen, also at the Foundry
Gift certificate for B Sweet Cupcakes
Bowling Passes and arcade cards for The Summit
Passes for The Gardens on Spring Creek
A grand prize drawing was held at the end of our celebratory week. We were excited to give away the following:
6 Ivy table plants won by Cheryl, Stevie, Whitney, Mary, Patty G, and Cheryl Sheppard
$25 Walgreens Gift Card, won by our volunteer, Lyle Frey
$50 Chili’s, On The Border, and Maggiano’s Gift Card, won by our volunteer, Nancy Schuster
$100 Jefe’s Tacos Gift Card, won by volunteer, John Lines
A laptop computer donated by Walmart Distribution Center, won by Jim Duckworth
Two tickets to our upcoming Meals on 4th event, won by Garrett Johnston
Our Volunteer Appreciation Celebrations honor the impact our volunteers have on our lives and work as well as the lives of the people we serve. Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud would not be able to accomplish all that we do without the help and support of all of our volunteers - kitchen, office, and drivers.
Thank you for all that you do to make us Better Together while nourishing lives with independence and dignity!
