A Little FUNdraising Competition!
Meals on Wheels Volunteers are an invaluable part of the Meals on Wheels family, and we can’t thank them enough for their time, effort, and dedication.
As we move towards March and our annual March for Meals celebrations, we are calling on our volunteers - our ORGANIZATIONAL AMBASSADORS - to help us raise funds and awareness for the issues of food insecurity and social isolation that so many of our homebound and aging neighbors face.
We have created fundraisers for each daily volunteer group: Monday Motorstars, Tuesday Tire Shakers, Wednesday Wheelies, Thursday Grand Slams, and Friday Qualifiers. Daily volunteers are being recruited to be fundraising champions, helping to raise funding to ensure that MOWLB will continue to enrich the lives of homebound individuals through nutritious meal deliveries and social interaction with caring volunteers this year and for years to come!
Our volunteers get to witness the power of the Meals on Wheels movement first hand. They are often the ones on the “frontlines” - delivering hot and nutritious meals and monitoring the health and safety of our homebound recipients. They can speak to the importance of the work we do and why it is so important to continue this work to ensure that our communities remain healthy and happy places to live and age.
how the volunteer grand prix works
The MOWLB Volunteer Grand Prix is a month-long giving challenge designed to raise awarness and funds for the issues of food insecurity and social isolation. It is also a way to celebrate the larger community coming together in support of our at-risk and aging neighbors.
Each day of volunteers has been given a special Donation Portal. Volunteers are asked to share the link (or QR code) for their portal with friends, family, and their larger social networks. Individuals can donate to Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud through these portals.
We will be tracking which volunteer group raises the most money towards our cause. Each week there will be special prizes and incentives for leaders on our leaderboard. The volunteer group that raises the most money by the end of March will receive a special grand prize for all of their work and support!
Donations will be accepted through these special portals from February 27 - March 31.

We will be collecting donations and tracking our donor leaders on our website and in our lobby at our downtown Loveland location.
